Forget Plan B -- Effects of Having a Plan B in Business

Summary:
What’s business?

    • Business refers to an enterprising entity or organization that carries out professional activities.
    • A person’s regular occupation, profession, or trade.
    • Commercial activity.

Success requires no explanation, failures must be doctored with alibis. The surest way to achieve acceptance in any organization or in any line of work is to be successful.

Unfortunately, life doesn’t work that way.

No matter how carefully you study a subject, no matter how rationally you make decisions, no matter how well-prepared you are, you will occasionally make mistakes.

Human beings always do failures. Successful people recognize that we all experience temporary setbacks that require us to reevaluate our performance and take corrective action to achieve success. They know that adversity is never permanent, but besides all that, never ever have Plan B in life if you want success.

If you really want to bring about a difference in your life and add an impact on other people’s lives, you need to make your vision clear to yourself and decide to do it without having Plan B. Plan B is the worst enemy for progress.

If you are working on something, don’t have anything to fall back on. If at all, anything of falling happens, just please fall forward.

Having Plan B is like having two boyfriends or girlfriends; both will need your attention and time and if you don’t provide, you are likely to lose both at once.

Plan B will have you picturing yourself failing to look out for the other course; taking you out of what you have planned to do or doing it less effectively.

If you have a business you are doing as your main business, do it. If you have another business, let others run it for you.

You may not be a millionaire today but at least not having Plan B will have you make money in a business most people say is hard to do.

If you don’t have any back up you remain with no choice but to do whatever it takes to succeed, and that’s what you need. And if you are going to ask for advice from people, ask those doing similar business to yours, not any business person you see – if you do that, you are likely to fail.

“I remember if I listened to one successful person a year ago I wouldn’t have reached and made the step I have this year. He told me to stop business and look for a job, I felt bad because he was telling me when I was eating the food he bought for me”

 – Said the man who runs his own business and was successful.

If you are doing business and you sleep hungry, or you fail to pay rent, it doesn’t mean if you are working in the government you can’t have such problems, there are lots of them, others are managers even in big companies but they go through the same, that’s just life. It all calls for patience and smart work.

Stick and follow one course until you make it. Do not disturb yourself in the name of “I can do two things” Yes, I have seen people working and doing business but if you are doing such and you want success, hire someone to run the business for you.

Drifting without aim or purpose is the first cause of failure. Without a plan for your life, it is easier to follow the course of least resistance, to go with the flow, to drift with the current with no particular destination in mind.

Finally,

Having a definite plan for your life greatly simplifies the process of making hundreds of daily decisions that affect your ultimate success. When you know where you want to go, you can quickly decide if your actions are moving you toward your goal or away from it.

Without definite, precise goals and a plan for their achievement, each decision must be considered in a vacuum. Definiteness of purpose provides context and allows you to relate specific actions to your overall plan.
